UPDATE

Hey pretties!!
                              Was that weird?  Oh well.

Anyway, I just wanted to update you all on what I've been up to!  I started this blog because I had nothing to do, and it seems like just as I started to get it going, I actually got one of those things people call "a life"  lol!!  So I'm not going to have a schedule on my uploads to the blog.  I write on my Facebook page about once or twice a day, just different random things.  I'm just so thankful that you guys don't mind that I don't blog everyday and still follow me and always leave kind comments!

Last weekend my dad was in town and since there was a lot of family drama at my own house at the time, I decided that I would spend the weekend with him.  He lives with his best friends and their daughter.  Their daughter rides horses and has for years.  So I went with her to the barn she goes to and started taking lessons.

Let me tell you the backstory of me and horses.  I love horses, I always have.  They are (to me) one of the most gorgeous animals.  Years ago I went to a two week long sleep away summer camp in a program where I'd learn how to ride.  But me being very young, I was sooo scared of these huge creatures.  The group leader basically threatened me that she would call my mom and how mad she (my mom) would be that I wasn't riding because she spent all that money for me to go to camp.  Yeah, like that made me want to ride any more... So every since then I've just been afraid.

I spent last weekend at the barn, spent a good amount of time brushing my friends horse, and just being around them.  I rode Saturday and Sunday with my friend leading her horse, and as the weekend went on so didn't my fear.  At that point I decided that I wanted to start taking lessons, so I talked to the owner of the barn and yesterday (Friday) was my first lesson.  I absolutely had no fear at all of the horses.  I was not afraid to get on, I was not afraid to ride.  It's amazing to me how quickly the fear that I had for my whole life just went away.  Today, I'm sitting at her house (Dad's best friends house) while my dad is back at work, and while my friend is at the barn.  I would have gone with her today, but I was sleeping when they asked, and who wants to get up when they're sleeping? lol!  Besides, I am SOOOO sore from riding!  Yesterday was my first time EVER riding a horse without being led, and I went right on to trotting.  Whoever thinks horseback riding is easy, has never rode a horse!  I'll be going back to the barn tomorrow, since there's a show, I'm not sure I'll be riding, but I can't get enough of these gorgeous creatures.  Not to mention, they make for pretty awesome pictures.  Check out the pictures below!

This is Lucy, the horse I rode yesterday.  She's an Irish Draft Horse.  Think English Bulldog of horses.  Short and wide!  That's why I'm SO sore today!

Beautiful sunset over the 180 acre farm

And this is a picture I took on a walk on Thursday, this is a Turkey Vulture

Another picture I took on a walk, this is obviously a Seagull

You're probably thinking "Well that's the weekends, what do you do during the week that you can't post?"  Or you might not be thinking that, but you are now!
To skip the long version of this story, we're puppy sitting a puppy (duh) that I take care of when my mom isn't home which is during the week because she works 12 hours a day.  It's a boxer puppy, who is about 6 months old.  If you know anything about puppies, and boxers, you know that that alone is a lot of work, so a lot of my focus is on the puppy during the day.  The puppy has been at the house for about 3 months now.  And then there's karate a few times a week, and me cleaning my room which is a loooong project because it's a mess.  And THEN there's just the simple fact that most of the time I have no motivation.. LOL!

As for what's coming, I still plan on doing the "Themed Third Thursdays" starting this month.  The theme of which I'm doing still hasn't been announced, so if you think you have an idea, comment below!
I will also be posting the manicures that I do on myself, which I do have a few lined up.  And I'm running out of requests from you guys, so let me know if you have anything you'd like to see and I'll try my best to make them look good!

Thank you guys for supporting me, and reading this looong blog post.  You guys are literally the best, and I've made so many friends just by doing this.  Please stick with me, I really do enjoy doing this and reading your kind comments and fulfilling requests!  So send 'em in either by my Facebook page or by commenting below!

xoxo

Lucky Lucky Lavender

First let me just start off by saying, I am sorry that I don't post every day like some of these other bloggers.  I've just decided that a blog post is better late than never, but I don't think very many people pay attention to the time stamp on a blog post.. I do have some wicked awesome things planned out, and that hopefully includes a giveaway, so just bare with me here!

PS. yes, I did say "wicked."  It's what we do here in New England!

I know what you're thinking, just get on with the post already!! Alright alright, here we go!

So I thought it'd be fun to start using up some of my polishes that I wouldn't normally use.  I know some people are doing lacquer lottery type things, but I just decided to do it myself, and do review type posts on the polish I pick!  These are just going to be random posts in between other major more exciting posts!

First, I started off by going to Random.org which I am sure we all have heard of by now.
This is what I got!
177 doesn't seem like a lot in the polish world.  I have A LOT more than 177 polishes if you count striper polishes, the dupes, the bottles I can't open,  and the bottles that I need to clean out to franken my own polish!  Add all those up and it's close to 300.

And the color I got was..................................

................ wait for it!!! ..................

OPI - Lucky Lucky Lavender

And on my nails...
You can see it dries a little lighter on the nails than it looks in the bottle.

Lucky Lucky Lavender is a beautiful creme based polish.  It's a Lavender color but more on the pink side.  This polish was opaque and two coats and went on very smoothly.  Lucky Lucky Lavender was made part of OPI's Hong Kong Collection for Spring 2010.

Thank you all so much for reading!  Let me know if you enjoy these types of posts, and I will definitely do more of them!  I'm sure I'll discover polishes in my collection I haven't worn before that I LOVE.

xoxo
Michelle

*This polish was purchased by me with my own money.  This review is strictly based on my own opinions.  I was not asked to do this review by OPI.*

Mocha and Pink

Hello lovelies!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!
I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Today I have a manicure that one of YOU suggested to me!

Now I wasn't really sure how I would like this color combination on my nails, but it was kind of cute, and I could definitely work with these two together in the future!

She had asked if I could a mocha nail, with a light pink French Tip.  So here is that creation:

This pink I used was a little tough to work with, but I think that's every color used for a French Tip ever.

Essie: Good Morning Hope
Essie: Mink Muffs

Thanks for reading everyone!  If you have any suggestions I will do my best to make them look good for y'all!!
Have a great rest of the day!

St. Patrick's Day Water Marble Tutorial

Well well well, good evening everyone!

I got a request to do a tutorial for this Manicure I posted yesterday.
You can see that post Here
Because I love my followers and want to complete all of the requests I get, I figured I'd give it a shot.  This was my first tutorial ever, and I now know what I need to fix for the next time I do a tutorial.  Here's the video, enjoy!

It wasn't the best, but you can get the general idea of what was done.  I promise the next time I do a tutorial it will be a lot better!

And this is how it looked when I was finished.  I was feeling lazy and didn't feel like making it perfectly cleaned up, and you can see that I got a pesky air bubble, but once again, you get the idea. (;

China Glaze: Gaga For Green
OPI: Jade Is The New Black
Essie: Stylenomics
Base and top coat

Just like how I said in the video, if you have any questions about Water Marbling, comment on the video, ask below, or on my Facebook Page and I will put together a FAQ video on Water Marbling!

And if you have any requests, don't be afraid to ask, and I'll get them done!

Have a great night!!  I'll talk to y'all tomorrow!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Almost..

Good Afternoon, everybody!

I hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday!  I think I'm seeing the sun today for the first time in my entire life! (That might be a little exaggerated)

But anyway, you asked for it, so now you got it!  St. Patrick's Day Manicures!  I told you I would do two for making you wait an extra day, but here they are, finally!

It's hard to see, but that's supposed to be a four leave clover!  You can find my tutorial Here.

This gradient didn't come out as smoothly as it could have, but I love how it did come out.  And I figured I'd be different and leave just a plain accent nail.
Ignore the fact that these bottles are very messy.   Not all of my polish is like that.  I used these three colors for  both Manicures.
China Glaze: Gaga For Green
OPI: Jade is the New Black
Essie: Stylenomics
And these are the base and top coat I used.

I really hope that you enjoyed these two looks.  If you didn't, stick with me, you'll like the next one.  (:  If you have any requests for a manicure, technique, review, or anything else, let me know and I'll put it on my list to do.

Thank you SO much for reading!! Have a great day!
xoxo Michelle

Announcement

Hi everyone!

How's your day going?  Mine is going well, I feel like I've gotten a lot done even though I've sat in front of my computer all morning! haha!
I've been finishing up editing and uploading three different sets of photos.  And now I'm writing this, and next I'll be starting my St. Patrick's Day Manicures for you!

Here is a sample of the pictures I've been working on.

A turtle at a Pet Store I visited last weekend.
A Judo Seminar with a friend of mine who is currently training to be in the 2016 Rio Olympics

This was taken at another Pet Store.

But you didn't come here for those.  Time for the Announcement.

*Can I get a drum roll please?!*
So, I'm going to start what I'm going to call "Third Thursday with a Theme."
That means every Third Thursday of the month I'm going to do a really cool nail art that continues with my theme.
I started this Blog because I have a really cool (to me, anyway) theme for nail art that I wanted to start, and I thought this would be a good way to show it off.  If you read the About Me section of the blog, you would know that I love animals.  And you could probably tell from the pictures above.  So the theme obviously has to do with some sort of animal.

Instead of me telling you, lets see if you guys can guess what animal the theme is going to be.  Write it in the comments below and I'll let you all know on the 21st when the first themed Mani is going to take place!

Now, off to let the dogs out, and get started on my St. Paddies Manicures!
Have a good day!
